Richard M Nixon institute
The school started as a study class by the late Hon. John N. Wulu, Sr. For his children in Warwein community on Capitol Hill, Monrovia. When the study class started to grow in enrollment, Hon. Wulu saw the need to graduate it to an elementary school level to avoid children in the community going to far distances to school. By then the school was named John N. Wulu Elementary School. When the elementary school also started to grow, he then decided to raise it up to a high school level still as John N. Wulu Elementary School.
The school name was later changed when the founder got in contact with former American President, the late Richard M. Nixon who Came to Liberia for visit and asked him to rename the school in his honor and he accepted. This move was prompted by Hon. Wulu because this was a figure that he admired so much for several reasons and wished to have gotten in contact with him and which finally happened at the time.
Richard M. Nixon is a non-faith based private school which runs from elementary to senior high levels. There is also an adult illiteracy session during the evening hours and we are contemplating on adding a vocational and technical program.
