Monrovia Elementary Demonstration School
The Monrovia Elementary Demonstration School (MEDS) is a public school run under the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS). The school was established in 1954 during the presidency of William V.S. Tubman (late) by the Department of Public Works and Utilities, Division of Public Buildings and Housing.
The school was primarily established (and still is) to provide Academic Excellence and Moral Discipline for Liberian Children. The school has provided over its many years of existence strong Academic Background for thousands of Liberians. Some of these Liberians, have become leaders that have contributed to the growth and development of this country, Liberia.
The school has an excellent academic programs being aligned with MOE National Curriculum. We have well- trained teachers and Administrators with wealth of experience in school environment. The teachers are students – centered to ensure teaching and learning are both achieved during instruction. The school’s support staff are committed to ensuring the school’s campus is green cleaned and green 🍏🍏 for students well-being.
The school’s tuition and fees are affordable for parents so that every child can have the opportunity to be educated. We have a very vibrant PTA that helps the school’s administration in running the school. Our PTA meetings are scheduled on Sundays beginning at 2pm.

Additionally, the school conducts regular Student Council Government elections aimed at introducing students to early leadership roles.
The school operates two sections:
1. AM section – 7:00am – 12:55pm
2. PM section – 1:15pm – 5:15pm. The school’s Library is equipped with prescribed Text Books to aid students learning. The school receives scholarships from government and other partners (at times)
